Since its inception in the Victorian-era, the Hamilton Park has remained the heart of the Hamilton Park Historic District in downtown Jersey City. Today, the park has a large gazebo, basketball court, children's playground, dog parks, tennis courts, as well as regular farmers' markets, craft fairs, theatrical performances and culinary festivals. Tree-lined sidewalks, local shops, cafes and neighborhood eateries fill the streets of Hamilton Park, a quiet enclave of historic charm with outstanding access to everything that the New Jersey Gold Coast has to offer, including a short commute to Manhattan via car, bus, or PATH Train.
